This course offers an initial overview of spirituality and leadership. The course guides the students in a reflection of their own embedded spirituality, key components of spiritual development, spirituality and relationality, spirituality and resistance, and communal spiritual leadership. The process of spiritual leadership involves narrative, vulnerability, contemplation, and resilience – all of which are skills students will be able to explore throughout the course.

Dr. Ish Ruiz is an assistant professor of Latinx and Queer Decolonial Theology at Pacific School of Religion and holds a PhD in Theology and Ethics from the Graduate Theological Union.
