PSR is committed to helping students finance their education goals. We offer affordable tuition and fees, a variety of merit scholarships and need-based grants, as well as access to low-interest loan programs and work-study to assist you in financing your education.
If you choose to live in the Bay Area, we also provide subsidized housing options right on campus.
Tuition
Master’s/Certificate tuition: $815 per credit
Doctor of Ministry tuition: $710 per credit
Merit-Based Scholarships
Each year, entering students are chosen for the President’s Scholarship (75% of tuition) and the Dean’s Scholarship (50% of tuition). These merit awards are available to students accepted in our master’s degree programs (MDiv, MTS, and MAST).
Students accepted to our master’s programs must apply by the appropriate priority deadlines to be considered:
Fall Priority Deadline – March 1st
Spring Priority Deadline – November 1st
Recipients of these awards must be enrolled at least half-time, and must continue to make satisfactory academic progress.
Additional merit scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis throughout each application cycle. No additional application is required for merit-based scholarships.
Need-Based Aid
Need-Based Grants:
Each year, PSR distributes need-based grants to qualified students with financial need. Grants are awarded as a percentage tuition reduction based on demonstrated financial need and availability of funds. Both domestic and international students are eligible for these need-based grants.
Federal Loans:
As a Title IV-approved graduate institution, PSR offers direct unsubsidized loans to help offset the cost of attendance for US citizens and eligible non-Citizens who have completed a FAFSA.
Payment Plans:
By default, students are billed for the full semester’s tuition at the beginning of the semester. Students have the option of setting up a payment plan with the Financial Aid Office. The standard payment plan is 3 or 4 months over the course of the term with a due date of either the 1st or 15th of each month.
Applying for Need-Based Aid
U.S. Citizens & Eligible Non-Citizens:
To be considered for need-based financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. PSR’s school code is G01256.
International Applicants:
Complete the “International Student Supplemental Form” as part of your main application for admission. This form will serve as an application for both financial aid and the initial I-20 if you are pursuing a Visa to study on campus.
Federal Work-Study
PSR offers a limited number of student worker positions through the Federal Work-Study program. Students who have completed the FAFSA and are interested in Federal Work-Study may contact the Financial Aid department at financialaid@psr.edu to determine eligibility.
