A Communal Practice of Ritual Celebration & Liturgy
“Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.”
-Rumi
Here at PSR, Community Chapel is one of the ways we “kneel and kiss the ground” as we gather simultaneously via Zoom and in-person at the Badè Museum on the PSR campus, at 11:10 am on Tuesdays during the academic year. Chapel represents the most consistent opportunity for PSR to come together for spiritual, theological and social nourishment. It is one of the most important components of our life together as a hybrid community of learning and spiritual formation.
Each week students, staff, faculty, alumnx and guests will be able to participate in this gathering that provides a space for creatively and constructively responding to the present context with its joys and struggles. One of the most exciting aspects of PSR Chapel is that multifaceted voices, histories, and traditions can find a home. All participants are invited to bring their learning – formal and informal – to bear on the very real and immediate concerns that surround us and to offer responses to social issues that critically engage their own social location and the traditions that shape them.
Above all, it is our intention that as we journey together through the semester. We will experience Community Chapel as a place of spiritual transformation and growth in our own lives – both individually and collectively.
Opportunities Abound for Online and In-person Participation
