Russell Kaupu is the owner and operator of varied Hawai`i small businesses, including Pohaku Development LLC, a real estate development consultation and project management company. He is the former General Counsel for The MacNaughton Group in Honolulu, providing in-house legal services for TMG and its projects and principals, and a former Partner at the Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel law firm in Honolulu.
He is a member of the Hawai`i State and American Bar Associations and is a past Chair and Board Member, and a current committee member (Property Management, Finance & Investments and Audit), of the Hawai`i Conference Foundation.
He is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and The Kamehameha Schools.
He resides in Aiea, O’ahu with his wife, Gaynor, her father and, from time to time, varying numbers of their 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren (so far).
