Michelle is a seasoned professional with 16 years of dedicated experience in higher education. In her recent role as the Dean of Student Affairs at The Art Institute of California – Hollywood, she successfully oversaw all facets of campus life and student affairs, demonstrating exemplary leadership for a diverse student body that included residential, commuter, non-traditional, military, and international students. Michelle’s expertise in higher education, particularly in marketing and admissions, allowed her to cultivate valuable local community relationships, enhancing student engagement and the overall educational experience.
A Northern California native, Michelle embarked on her academic journey at UCLA, earning a BA in English with an emphasis in American Studies and a certificate in Liberal Arts. Her commitment to education continued at Northeastern University in Boston, where she obtained an MS in College Student Development and Counseling. Settling in Los Angeles 23 years ago with her husband and two children, Michelle expanded her horizons into real estate, leveraging her knowledge of the city’s geography and her passion for the industry. Prior to her current role at the Pacific School of Religion, she successfully built her own real estate business.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Michelle actively contributes to her local community, notably at St. Cyril of Jerusalem School, where she has been an integral part of the community since her son’s kindergarten days in 2010. Her volunteerism, participation in school programs, and role in the parent association showcase her enduring commitment. Additionally, Michelle serves as a trustee on the Foundation for Saint Cyril of Jerusalem School Board, utilizing her expertise in communications and promotions to further enhance the school’s mission and impact.
