I am the pastor of Iao United Church of Christ in Maui, Wailuku, HI, which is an open and affirming church for ALL people. I began my ministry on March 1, 2017 with Iao UCC.
My educational journey began with a Certificate of Information Processing Specialist from Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho (1992), BA in Religious Studies from Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin (2009), and a Master of Divinity and Certificate of Sexuality & Religion from Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA (2013).
I was ordained in 2013 with the Metropolitan Community Church and received Standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and then transferred my standing to the United Church of Christ, Hawaii Conference – Tri-Aisle Association in Maui.
I believe in the importance of community outreach and in the empowerment of our beloved Youth, striving to bring the church back into community and a church that refuses to be silent or complacent amid injustices. I believe in leading with boldness as a faith community fights for and celebrates equality for ALL people.
