Please join the Office of Academic Affairs and CAPSR Council for reconciliation and inclusion as we watch and discuss the film Just Mercy.
We echo the sentiment of Warner Bros Studio, who stated that the film, based on the life work of civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson is a resource for “those who are interested in learning more about the systemic racism that plagues our society. To actively be part of our country’s change is so desperately seeking. We encourage you to learn more about our past and the countless injustices that have led us to where we are today. Watch with your family, friends, and allies” (Warner Bros Studios, 2020).
You are invited to join us for both the watch party (taking place via Zoom) and the discussion following Friday, October 23, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. If you cannot attend the Friday night show, we are hosting a Sunday, October 25 viewing at 4:00 PM.
RSVP: 6:30 PM Friday (10/23) Showtime
RSVP: 4:00 PM Sunday (10/25) Showtime
We look forward to being part of the solution with you. Please RSVP by October 23, 2020.
In solidarity,
Office of Academic Affairs and CAPSR Council
