Speaker bio:
Eric Harvey is a scholar of the ancient Middle East whose work focuses primarily on Mesopotamia and the Levant. His research areas include the political economy of creation mythology, material processes in textual transmission, and disability as a lived and imagined phenomenon in ancient societies. His research into blindness in the ancient Middle East has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies, and his work expanding braille access to ancient languages has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
