PSR President Rev David Vásquez-Levy will present the lecture, I Pledge Allegiance: Poly-crisis and the Rise of Christian Nationalism in a free public forum co-sponsored by Claremont United Church of Christ and Activist Residents of Pilgrim Place.
This free event is open to the public and can be attended in person at Pilgrim Place’s Decker Hall, 665 Avery Rd., Claremont, CA, or live-streamed on Claremont United Church of Christ’s YouTube page.
This event honors Marilee K. Scaff, a Claremont civic leader and champion of ecological and social justice right up to her death on March 8th, 2019, at age 103. Her clear, progressive vision and committed activism as an educator, missionary and internationalist, community organizer, parent, water-policy expert, and school board leader remains an outstanding example of the responsible public witnessing to faith-based values so needed now.
