PSR President David Vásquez-Levy will be a panelist for this event, hosted by Wake Up Sonoma.

Brad Onishi will be leading the panel of experts in a focused conversation on the history and rise of Christian Nationalism and the threat of Project 2025. Onishi is a former evangelical Christian Nationalist who, shortly after leaving high school, took a job as a full-time youth minister with plans to enter seminary. Eventually, Onishi came to view evangelicalism as inextricably intertwined with American Nationalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and xenophobia. Eleven years after joining the church, he left his faith behind to pursue a career as a writer and academic. He is now dedicated to educating the Nation with his insider knowledge at talks across the nation and hosts the podcast, Straight, White American Jesus.

Panelist Peter Coyote is an actor, activist, documentary narrator, and, most recently, a Buddhist Priest who is dedicating his life to educating people about threats to Democracy and coping with these threats from a Buddhist perspective. Coyote is well known for his educational talks and inspirational approach on the fundamental teachings of the Buddha to modern life and recently wrote Zen in the Vernacular.

Tickets are $25.
