Join PSR MDiv students, Michael Goos and Manuel Falcon Padua for a presentation and blessing ritual for the newly opened Isamaeli Mata’afa Community Garden.

They will share their vision in creating the Isamaeli Mata’afa Memorial Garden: a place for spiritual communion, community engagement, and connection. They will illustrate how we are a forest of selves, an island of life, a node in a network of nature, and a dynamic field of interconnected agents consisting of several species. Mutually supportive plant, soil, and fungal life are connected to a larger system by pollinators from elsewhere.

The event will end with a blessing ritual to officially open the garden to the public.

Schedule

10:00 – 10:10 am: presentation in Holbrook room 134 on the PSR campus

10:10 – 10:20 am: Q & A

10:20 – 10:25 am: meditative walk to the garden

10:25 – 10:35 am blessing ritual

Proceeds for PSR’s 2023 Prom, held on April 21st, will help to fund the Community Garden. Please show your support by purchasing tickets.
