AETH Lecture Series Conference 2025: Preaching and Migration — Identity, Trauma, and Technique
October 9–11, 2025 | Life Pacific University, San Dimas, CA
Migration is not just a movement; it is a story of identity, resilience, and faith. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible bears witness to human mobility as a defining part of God’s people’s experience. Throughout history, the Church has walked alongside communities on the move—facing challenges and embracing opportunities shaped by migration.
This year’s AETH Lecture Series Conference brings together scholars, theologians, pastors, psychologists, anthropologists, ministry leaders, and prophetic voices to explore the vital intersection of preaching and migration. Together we will ask:
-
How can our preaching honor the lived experiences of migrants?
-
How do we address trauma with pastoral sensitivity and theological depth?
-
How do we embody justice and grace in a Church and a world on the move?
As part of the program, Rev. Dr. David Vásquez-Levy will lead a workshop on preaching amid migration, offering tools to proclaim hope and walk faithfully alongside migrant communities.
Join us for a time of inspiration, challenge, and preparation to preach with courage and compassion.
