Pacific School of Religion is honored to participate in the TFAM Leadership Conference 2026: Practicing Ubuntu: Resist. Repair. Regenerate.
In a time marked by political division, institutional challenges, and growing demands on faith leaders, this gathering offers a vital space for reflection, renewal, and collective action. Inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu—”I am because we are”—and grounded in Jeremiah 29:4–7, the conference will bring together bishops, pastors, organizers, scholars, and movement leaders committed to cultivating justice-centered leadership. Together, participants will explore what it means to resist systems that dehumanize, repair the harm caused by injustice, and regenerate communities rooted in peace, dignity, and flourishing.

On Friday from 12:00–1:30 p.m., during the sponsored lunch, “Resistance and Repair: Countering Anti-LGBTQ+ and Specifically Anti-Trans Public Policy,” moderated by Rev. Dr. Carmarion D. Anderson and hosted with the Freedom Center for Social Justice and invited guests, PSR’s Tanisha Walton will offer a brief introduction to PSR’s Transformative Educational Leadership (TEL) program.
