The Center for LGBTQ+ & Gender Studies in Religion (CLGS) is pleased to announce the first cohort for Catholic LGBTQ+ Ministry, facilitated by Dr. Ish Ruiz. This five-part cohort begins February 2, 2026; after successful completion of the five parts, participants will receive a Microcertificate in Catholic LGBTQ+ Ministry.
This course offers an introduction to Catholic LGTBQ+ theology and pastoral praxis. Drawing from Scripture, tradition, and lived experience, it explores how queer perspectives can reveal God’s inclusive love and inspire pastoral practices that foster belonging, justice, and spiritual growth in the Catholic Church.
