Designed for students who are entering teaching ministries, as well as those who want to pursue an area of particular interest before taking a call.

Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MTS)

The Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program is designed to provide a rigorous survey of theological studies culminating in a project focused on a student’s primary area of passion, like environmental theology, feminist theology, liberation theology, etc.

Students can take a broad array of courses related to their area of interest at PSR and at the more than twenty schools, centers, and affiliates of the Graduate Theological Union.

The MTS program is designed to be a two-year, full-time course of study but can be completed in up to five years.

PSR courses can be taken on campus or via distance learning options available and the degree can be completed entirely online. However, some GTU courses may only be offered in person.
