Tanisha Walton was born and raised in Oakland, California. She earned a B.A. in Communication from Biola University in Southern California, where she was also a student-athlete, competing in both track and basketball. Today, she serves as the Assistant Pastor at The Way Christian Center in Berkeley, where she leads with purpose, compassion, and conviction.
Tanisha recently earned her Master of Divinity and remains deeply committed to empowering others, building community, and walking boldly in her God-given calling. Beyond ministry, she still enjoys playing recreational basketball, roller skating, and working out.
She is married to Christian comedian J-Red, is the proud mother of three adult children, and a joyful grandmother to one. Whether in the pulpit, on the court, or in her community, Tanisha lives out her calling with passion, strength, and joy.
