Matching Gifts
Corporate matching gifts can double or triple your gift to Pacific School of Religion, increasing your impact. If you or your spouse work for a company with a matching gift policy, please follow your company’s procedures to initiate the match. Send forms to the PSR Development Office, 1798 Scenic Ave., Berkeley, CA 94709 and we will do the rest.
Gifts of Stock
To make gifts of securities or stocks, provide us with the name of the contributed stock, number of shares, contact information of your broker, and where we should designate your gift. Please email development@psr.edu or call (510) 849-8245 to provide this information.
If you wish to make a gift before the end of the calendar year, please be advised that it may take a few days for your broker to process the request.
Wire Transfer
To initiate a transaction, contact the Development Office at (510) 849-8245 or development@psr.edu. Please allow time for your bank to make year-end wire transfers.
IRA Qualified Charitable Contribution (QCD)
When planning your IRA withdrawal strategy, you may make a charitable donation of up to $100,000. Starting at age 70 ½, gifts from your IRA can benefit PSR while reducing your tax burden.
To initiate an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution, you may use this letter template to personalize and send to your IRA custodian. Please notify PSR of your generosity and let us know where to designate your contribution by emailing development@psr.edu or calling (510) 849-8245.
If you wish to make a contribution before the end of the calendar year, please be advised that it may take a few days for your IRA custodian to process the request.
Benefits of an IRA charitable rollover:
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000 from your IRA to our organization
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Help further the work and mission of PSR
How an IRA charitable rollover gift works:
- Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA to us.
- Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to our organization to help continue our important work.
- Please note that IRA charitable rollover gifts do not qualify for a charitable deduction.
- Please contact us if you wish for your gift to be used for a specific purpose.
