PSR’s President Will be Part of the Summer Faculty at Holden Village
Begins: August 6th, 2023
Ends: August 11th, 2023

PSR’s president, Rev. David Vásquez-Levy, will be part of the 2023 summer faculty at Holden Village, a retreat center in Washington state that welcomes all people into the wilderness to form and renew their relationships with God, the earth, and each other.

Vásquez-Levy’s course, East of Eden will be held from Aug 6-11th.

East of Eden: Climate change is one of the greatest factors leading to an unprecedented level of global migration; its impact is expected to significantly increase. The ways we understand these connections matter in scientific and technical ways, but also theological terms. Stories in the headlines and sacred texts shape policy and inspire or cripple action. We will explore Bible stories that wrestled with the connections between the environment and human mobility and how their ancient wisdom might help reframe polarized discussions about these key issues.
