Gregory R. Kim is a corporate lawyer, entrepreneur, and community leader. He founded Vantage Counsel LLC in 2004 as one of the nation’s first virtual law firms. He later served as a partner at Virtual Law Partners LLP and Convergent Law Group LLP. Earlier in his career, he practiced for 16 years as a corporate partner at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel in Honolulu and began his legal career at Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro in San Francisco, focusing on technology and venture-backed companies.
At PSR, Kim explored the intersections of spirituality, entrepreneurship, and organizational growth. His work considers how spiritually grounded people can bring an entrepreneurial approach to church and community growth, and how spirituality can help entrepreneurs deepen their sense of purpose and impact.
Kim sees community service as a form of ministry. He has founded and led organizations addressing community needs, including Help Is On The Way, which assisted older adults during the pandemic; Lawyers for Lahaina, which supported victims of the Maui wildfires; and Business Law Corps, which supports small business owners and entrepreneurs. He serves on the Alumnx Council to give back to PSR and help ensure that people from diverse professional and spiritual backgrounds, including those on unconventional paths to ministry and service, can find a home at the school.
