As a museum dedicated to advancing knowledge of the archaeology of ancient Israel and Palestine, the Badè Museum of Biblical Archaeology mourns the loss of life in modern Israel and Gaza and grieves for families experiencing terror, loss of life, and displacement throughout the region. We denounce Hamas’s brutal attacks on Israel and condemn calls for violence and support for terrorism everywhere. We fervently plead for measured responses on both sides and courses towards meaningful peace and stability in the region, and condemn antisemitic and Islamophobic actions and reactions knowing the historic trauma endured and carried by all in Israel and Gaza, and related diaspora communities around the globe.
