PSR Welcomes New Staff as We Enter Fall 2025

Pacific School of Religion is excited to welcome two new leaders to our community this fall, each bringing a depth of experience, passion, and vision to their respective roles.

Dr. Hayden Reynolds Cowan joins PSR as our new Director of Development.

Hayden is a seasoned fundraising professional with over a decade of experience advancing equity and access through philanthropy. His work spans grassroots nonprofits, health and human services, and higher education. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Development Communications at UC Law San Francisco, where he led campaigns rooted in storytelling, alumni engagement, and student success.

He holds a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and brings a relationship-centered, mission-driven approach to development. A long-standing member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Hayden is known for his joyful activism, creative community building, and unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership. His connection to PSR began nearly two decades ago as a prospective student—returning now as a member of our leadership team brings that journey full circle.

She holds a B.A. in Communication from Biola University, where she competed as a student-athlete in track and basketball, and recently earned her Master of Divinity.
