Pacific School of Religion and The City of Refuge UCC church family deeply mourns the passing of Rev. Janice Jean Smith-Sommerville, Director of the Theological Education for Leadership Program at Pacific School of Religion and beloved Associate Pastor of Administration & Member Services at The City of Refuge UCC.
We will gather virtually to honor her life and memory on Saturday, March 20th at 4 pm PST, with Bishop Flunder as the Eulogist for the day. Though Pastor Janice took flight much sooner than we could have anticipated, we know she now abides in the eternal presence of her Creator, Savior, and Sustainer where her new body is unbound and her praise is unending!
