Introducing At This Time: Dialogues in Theological Education
As theological education continues to shift in response to cultural, ecclesial, and institutional change, meaningful dialogue is more essential than ever. At This Time: Dialogues in Theological Education, a new edited volume featuring work by PSR Assistant Professor of Africana Religions, Theologies, and Culture, Dr. Corwin Malcolm Davis, brings together a diverse community of scholars and practitioners to explore the evolving purposes and practices of theological learning today.
Rather than offering a single perspective, At This Time highlights constructive conversations between contributors from a wide range of educational contexts. Some write from within accredited seminaries; others represent innovative, community-rooted approaches that expand what theological education can look like. Despite their different locations, all share a commitment to understanding how shifting social and church landscapes shape the work of teaching, learning, and leadership formation.
As the capstone to the Theological Education Between the Times (TEBT) series, the volume returns to what has always been at the heart of the project: deep, relational, critical reflection in community. Its essays and dialogues are grounded in real-world experience and are animated by the energy of scholars who take seriously the past, present, and future of theological education.
Contributors include: Corwin Malcolm Davis, Grace Y. Kao, John Kartje, Ann E. Killian, Caleb Maskell, Juan J. Molina Flores, David Nacho, Janette H. Ok, Julian Davis Reid, Angela D. Sims, Ted A. Smith, Joanne Solis-Walker, and Matthew Wesley Williams.
