However, in recent years, extremist religious voices have co-opted the transformative power of faith and conviction, while progressive faith movements have lost ground. This has disillusioned an emerging generation caught between religious and secular extremes.
PSR seeks to create a new vital movement for progressive spirituality in a new, diverse generation that shifts the narrative.
With a long history of being on the right side of history, PSR is aligning with other leaders who are calling for change. With bold thinking and action, PSR is seizing the moment with the FEARLESS campaign to leverage and amplify PSR’s impact on individuals, faith communities, and the world.
With your help, we will build on leadership formation that is marked by innovation, reflection, excellence, and a commitment to social justice through these priorities:
- Fearless Fund – Providing flexible, discretionary resources for PSR’s leadership to support student learning projects; faculty and staff program innovation; community engagement; and a variety of other pressing needs as they arise
- Catalysts – Empowering our faculty to lead transformational educational change
- Formation – Funding scholarships that shape leaders for a world of difference
- Innovation – Launching a first-of-its-kind digital platform for a new generation of leaders
- Inclusion – Shaping urgent public discourse on religion, gender, and sexuality
- Generations – Redefining how we unite for transformation, education, and community action
We are ready to meet the needs of a more diverse generation of leaders who are committed to justice and emboldened with the tools for new leadership. Our strength comes through the diversity of our community and our engagement with a wide range of religious perspectives and practices.
In the face of global uncertainty, rising Christian nationalism, and more divisive religious, social, cultural, and political rhetoric, PSR shapes a counter-narrative of grace and inclusion that brings about a world where all can thrive.
