2023 PSR Distinguished Alumnx Nominations

Nomination Information

Nominators need not be alumnx of the Pacific School of Religion. 

All Nominations must include the following:
  1. Nomination Letter – a letter of nomination for your candidate describing how this candidate’s ministry/career activities meet the specific criteria
  2. Copy of the candidate’s curriculum vitae or resume
  3. Nomination Form: Google Form (recommended) or Fillable PDF.
  4. Additional Resources (optional) – websites, articles, etc., that highlight your candidate or support their nomination
There are three ways to submit materials
  1. (Recommended) Submit everything electronically by completing the Google form and attaching the required documents
  2. Submit via email by completing or the Fillable PDF and sending it and the required documents to development@psr.edu. (You can also fill out the Google Form online and submit your additional materials via email.)
  3. Submit via Regular Mail – complete and print the Fillable PDF and mail it with the other required documents to: Pacific School of Religion Development Office Attn: Alumnx Award Nominations 1798 Scenic Avenue Berkeley, CA 94709

 

All nomination materials must be received by Tuesday, November 15, 2022!

Criteria

The Distinguished Alumnx Award Committee welcomes the diversity of nominees: degree, graduation year, geographic area, denomination or religious affiliation, racial and ethnic identity, gender and sexual identities, degree of ability/disability, and age.   

Nominees must demonstrate outstanding service and leadership in one or more of the following areas:

  • Impact on their chosen ministry or profession
  • Leadership in the church at the local, regional, or national level
  • Service and commitment to Pacific School of Religion (through generosity of volunteer time, gifts, etc.)
  • Community involvement

In addition, we are seeking nominations of alumnx who have made an impact in one of the following areas:

  1. Service to faith community
  2. Scholarship and service to academics and theology
  3. Leadership in social change
  4. Innovation in church and society
