An opportunity for students from other professions to integrate theological studies into their practice, and preparation for doctoral studies.
Master of Divinity / Master of Arts (MDiv/MA)
PSR allows students to combine a Master of Divinity (MDIV) and Common Master of Arts (MA) degrees to form a joint MDiv/MA degree in cooperation with the Graduate Theological Union (GTU). This program will be especially appealing to students preparing for a teaching ministry or those who are training for church ministry.
The joint MDiv/MA degree requires a minimum of 96 credits, normally completed in four years of full-time study or a maximum of six years part-time study. Students must complete the MDiv at PSR before starting the MA through the GTU, but 24 units of coursework can be shared between the two degrees. For a student enrolled in the MDiv program at PSR, PSR is the Common MA school of affiliation and students must apply to the MA during the final year of their MDiv.
