Recuperations of Andalusi Music

November 14, 2013 at 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Our current exhibition, Birds of Longing: Exile and Memory, integrates tactile elements within fiber arts pieces, written in Arabic, Hebrew, Greek and English calligraphy, which also echoes the architecture of medieval Andalusia.

Speaker Charles Hirschkind will explore the parallel themes between Laurie Wohl's work and the recuperations of Andalusi Music. This program is free and open to the public.
