Moving Beyond History: LGBT Civil Rights in a Post-Racial America?

PSR's Center for Lesbian & Gay Studies in Religion & Ministry and Bay Area Coalition of Welcoming Congregations (CWC), along with the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC), will host a National Town Hall meeting focusing on the intersection of race and sexual orientation. This groundbreaking event will be held at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco, CA. The Annual Black Church Summit will be held from 9am to 2pm (lunch is included) and the Town Hall Meeting will be from 3pm to 6pm. This event is open to all and everyone is welcomed!

Rev. Roland Stringfellow, Coordinator of the Bay Area Coalition of Welcoming Congregations and comedienne and social critic Karen Williams will be moderating the event. Panelists will include NBJC founding board memeber Jasmyne Cannick; Jon Hoadley, executive director of Stonewall Democrats; Dr. Marjorie Hill, CEO of Gay Men’s Health Crisis; and NAACP national Board member the Rev. Amos Brown.
