Former Trustee William Howard dies

William A. Howard, who served on PSR’s Board of Trustees from 1985 to 1994, died November 5. Born in Pomona, CA, he grew up in Santa Monica, attended the University of Washington, and graduated with a degree in business management from the University of Utah. He also did graduate work at UCLA.

Long active in real estate sale and management, Bill formed a real estate development firm in 1979 called Howard, Howard & Barnard, Inc., with regional offices in San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale.

Bill and his wife Patty were active in the Community Congregational Church of Corona Del Mar, a congregation of the United Church of Christ. Bill was chair of that congregation’s board of trustees in 1981.

A memorial service was held November 20 at St. Marks Presbyterian Church, 2200 San Joaquin Hills Road, in Newport Beach, CA.
