Former Miss California defends same-sex marriage

Two winners of the title of Miss California, both Christian, one now a pastor in Massachusetts, have different views on same-sex marriage. The 2009 title holder, Carrie Prejean, in response to a question about same-sex marriage at the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas on April 19, said that her belief, backed up by her faith, was that “a marriage should be between a man and a woman.”

Miss California of 2003 (and winner of the Miss America swimsuit competition in 2004) is Nicole Lamarche, who won her titles while studying for master of divinity and master of arts degrees at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA. Married to fellow seminarian Jeremy Nickel, Nicole now serves as minister at Cotuit Federated Church in Cotuit, Mass.

“As a pastor and a former Miss California, I am often asked to interpret what the Word of God has to say on a particular subject,” Rev. Lamarche says. “I am quite confident that God prefers that we human beings stick to speaking for ourselves. And yet there are occasions when God’s Word is used as a weapon, and I feel compelled to speak.

“In the past few days, much has been made of the words of Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean. She stated that marriage is between a man and a woman. I write not in response to her opinion, but rather about her comments that followed: that the Bible condones her words. She said, “It's not about being politically correct, it's about being biblically correct.” While this sentiment is shared by many who seek to condemn gay people and gay marriage, citing pieces of the Bible to further one’s own prejudice fails to meet the Bible on its own terms.

“Most people seeking to condemn gay people point to the Book of Leviticus, where we read that men lying with men is an abomination. However, we rarely hear of other verses found in the book of Leviticus that are equally challenging. For example, Leviticus also tells us that eating shrimp and lobster is an abomination. And that a person should not wear material woven of two kinds of material—an impossible mandate for a pageant contestant!

“In Paul’s letter to the community in Corinth we read, ‘For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church….’ And yet these words have not prevented Christian denominations from ordaining women, such as myself. Sadly, the Bible has been used to further prejudice throughout history. We have used it to permit ourselves to enslave people; to conquer and kill; and to denigrate the earth.

“The truth is that it is difficult to know for sure the intentions of the biblical authors, but we do know something about God. Those of us who know God through Jesus of Nazareth know that he went to great lengths to express God’s love to people who were labeled as outcasts. He spent time with children, prostitutes, and lepers, all of whom were labeled as outside of the grasp of the Holy. As we continue to seek God’s vision for us as a nation grounded in a love for justice, I pray that we might move closer to the cause of grace.”

Mary A. Tolbert, executive director of the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry at Pacific School of Religion, where she also teaches biblical studies, agrees with former student Nicole Lamarche. “As the New Testament gospels tell us, Jesus summarized all the law and the prophets into two central commands: love God with all your being, and love your neighbors as yourself,” says Professor Tolbert.

“Even our interpretations of the Bible should be held to the standard of these two founding principles. To deny to gay and lesbian families the protections, rights, responsibilities, and respect of civil marriage—rights and respect that heterosexual couples value greatly and hold fully for themselves—very clearly to me violates the command to love your neighbor as yourself.

“If the married state is something you want and value for yourself, you should also want and value it for all your neighbors, gay and straight alike. I think that the current Miss California needs to think through the biblical commands of Jesus in considering this issue; with prayerful thought, I believe she might come to a very different conclusion. Many people reading the Bible already have.”

Pacific School of Religion is a multidenominational Christian seminary that has been preparing bold leaders for historic and emerging faith communities since 1866. The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry was founded at Pacific School of Religion in 2000 and was the first such center at a seminary.

Thank You!

Thank you for your inspiring words of tolarance and acceptance. You are right, we shouldn't take it upon ourselves to interpret the Word of the Lord and use it to spread hatred and fear. We are living in a very different world now and we cannot literally adhere to distorted interpretations of the bible. Your message goes beyond same-sex marriage and speaks to the fact that we shouldn't burden ourselves with deciphering the bible, but live in peace and love and our Maker would want us to exist. Thank you.

same-sex marriage

Peter Gomes, a Harvard scholar and author of the Good Book de-mystifies what is said in the bible regarding same-sex marriage. A must read for anyone. Besides, America was founded on the laws of the Constitutions, state and federal, which prohibit discrimination. The right to marry belongs to all people in the United States. Using the bible to further ones personal agenda to isolate and discriminate is shameful, to say the very least. Former Ms. California would serve herself well to add a little education to her agenda. Americans must stand against discrimination of any type, and at any cost.

same-sex marriage

If God was ok with gay people. Tell that to the people of Sodom and Gomorroh.

Miss Califorina

that is trible god loves everyboby who loves hom back i respict her for her opinon :)

The right to marry

Yes, the right to marry between a man and a woman, and not between man and man or woman and woman. Where is our sense of right and wrong?
You dont need to know God to know you need to get your mind fixed.
History is there for us to learn from- You might want to learn from the people of "Sodom and Gomorrah."
Read what happen to Sodom and Gomorrah.
I wish this will be posted.

Amen to you sister !

"To deny to gay and lesbian families the protections, rights, responsibilities, and respect of civil marriage—rights and respect that heterosexual couples value greatly and hold fully for themselves—very clearly to me violates the command to love your neighbor as yourself."

Leviticus should be used for people who do not blend wool with another material.

love your neighbor as yourself

You are loved, and that is why we are trying to save you from what happen to Sodom and Gomorrah.
And, stop gathering teachers around you to say what your itching ears want to hear. Learn God's plan for you.
Whether you believe in God or not does not make any difference. Save yourself why you can.
Yes, the right to marry between a man and a woman, and not between man and man or woman and woman. Where is our sense of right and wrong?

Kudos to Ms. Lamarche for speaking out as a Christian pastor! Please let her know that, despite any hate mail she may receive, there are many other Christians who share her views and appreciate her speaking out on behalf of a group that is too often politicized or marginalized by religious leaders.

MARRY WHO MAN /WOMAN

God made Adam/eve male/female. marriage is between man and woman so that reproduction will take place God's way. God is love but he HATES Sin

Its a shame that a so called "christian" believes in same sex marrige. Yes, God is love but in the bible it says He Haaates sin and same sex is sin. Disobeying or justifying His word in your own understanding is denying God's glory, & its sin. I'll pray for each & every one of you just like Carrie is prayin for Perez. A school of religion?! Religion is not God its just rituals that humans go by..having a relationship with God & having faith is what God wants!

Nicole Lamarche

Ms Lamarche or Pastor Lamarche,
On that great day, will the Lord say to you "well done" or will He say "depart from me I know you not?" Are you really teaching the true word of God?
Or, do you need the people of Sodom and Gomorrah to remind you? History are there for us to learn from.
Think about it.

I feel that God loves all people equally, as it also says in the Bible "Judge not lest ye ought to be judge" and I feel that we are not perfect ....no one in this world is perfect but one man and that was Jesus Christ who as it has been said previously yes he did go out to all the people who were outcasts...i know how they feel because I am a gay male who has a partner of almost 10 years and I love him very much. I was an outcast well lets say I was disowned for 8 yrs by my father who was military and never had a father around either and finally he came around and accepted me but that was a very hard 8 years knowing your father couldnt even stand to look you in the eye or even acknowledge your exsistence....that is very hard...I really appreciate that people do care and have hearts and are trying to understand the Bible more, because alot of things that people are trying to use SCRIPTURE from the Bible are from the OLD TESTAMENT..that is out of use today...but many want to use it to condemn others...Alot of what i feel is to come is should be from the old testaments, but alot in the BIBLE happened before in old times, and things ahve change and alot of that doesnt pertain to us in this time...yes we can use it as guideline, but not as something to condemn others....Jesus cared for all no matter what there crime, there disease or even there lifestyle....he loved them all and we should all learn to act as he did he was an example to us .....

The word of God Judges you

God is loving, but He can also be a consuming fire. He wants you to change while you can. Stop serving Satan and serve God, your maker.
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
Since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-His enternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Men went after the sinful desires of their hearts, to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They go after shameful lusts, the women exchange natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way men also abandoned natural relations with women and are inflamed with lust for one another, Men commited indecent acts with other men. Romans 1;18-32

Thank you

Thank you for being a voice of reason and love. Thank you for showing us the true teachings of Christianity... love, respect, honor, tolerance, did I mention LOVE. Religion should not be the reason to separate, the Bible should not be the weapon to discriminate, and Christians should not be the people to hate. Thank you for reminding me there are goo Christians like you, who are doing the real work of God, leading and teaching... I'm not religious, but I really thank God for Christians like you.

Romans 1:26-32

Romans 1:26-32
"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

Miss Lamarche is biblically incorrect

Maybe she needs to read her bible a bit more. Below are New Testament passages that clearly define how God feels about homosexuality:

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. If you don't want to use Old Testament scripture (and I get the argument, you can't apply some rules then ignore others), then feel free to use New Testament scripture.

biblical interpretation

Perhaps the author of this comment might have been able to provide us with the version of the bible he was quoting. For when the original Greek is translated quite often one finds a completely different connotation. Also one might choose to follow the wisdom of many biblical scholars who have gone before us and consider the historical, cultural, and socio-economic circumstances surrounding the context of scriptural references. It is not enough to simply proof text a few verses to prove one's point. If we do this we need to look at the verses that concern stewardship, slavery, gossip, etc. If one chooses to use the bible as a punitive weapon it can be used to condemn a large variety and degree of human behaviors. The idea that if we choose to call ourselves Christian than we should feel compelled to lead a Christ like life would seemingly be the only standard we should hold. If one wishes to quote biblical passages you will find Jesus being found guilty of many offenses. He healed and performed other miracles on the Sabbath, he healed lepers and restored the sight of a blind man, he sat at table with a tax collector, saved the life of a known pf a woman know to have committed adultry, suffered the children to come to him and even failed to keep women in their rightful place. Surely if Jesus came to save all of us that includes gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered. Surely if this same saving Jesus came to all of us and offered salvation for all of God's creation the idea that he would also believe that all God's human children deseve the opportunity to a full, complete and family life that can only be experienced when two people commit to each other and covenant with themselves, their community and God to remain faithful to one another through wedding vows and in a marriage ceremony is simply what should be. As we like to say where I am from God created me as I am and God doesn't make mistakes. Surely we can reach the point when we remember that Jesus called us to love all our neighbors as we love ourselves. I don't recall their being a qualifying statement that we had to like them or agree with them. That is not our call, we are to love them as we love ourselves and as we wish to be loved. That simplifies much for me, the same rights and responsibilities apply to us all, including the right and accompanying responsiblities of marriage between two adults. The sexes of the two should have nothing to do the performance of the ceremony. Finally I do not presume to speak for God. I am pretty sure God came to earth and lived among us for 33 years. In the last three years we have a witness that what was called for was a radical change from the status quo and a God that understood it is the very people who make us most uncomfortable because they are out casts that are the chosen children of God. This does not negate the possibility that others will also be chosen but it does affirm that which liberation theologists have said for decades. God has always chosen people to lead his people out of bondage and into freedom. Gays and lesbians seek the freedom to have an affirmation of their love and fidelity and all the accompanying legal rights that others share now. African Americans felt this way, women felt this way about their civil rights ,so now it is he time for us as anation to recognize that there is no more biblica proof to support out current treatment of gays and lesbians than there was for our condonig the ownership of human slaves or the submission of women.

NT References

Dear Anonymous,

Please take the time to look at the various articles on www.clgs.org about homosexuality and the Bible. Rev. Lamarche is not ignoring these passages that you have referenced. She simply chose to pinpoint the most popular one. I assure you, she knows her Bible. Another reference is www.mccchurch.org. You can catapult Bible verses at us as much as you want, but what it comes down to is different philosophies on how to read Scripture. Those verses are no longer weapons against us because we know better. Remember, even the words of Scripture are written through the hands of those who have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God did not write the Bible, but God did give us the Holy Spirit to be guided in our reading. You may think that you are following the Spirit in your condemnation, but I challenge you to ask yourself, "Whose voice am I hearing louder, my pastor's or God's?"

God did write the bible

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 All Scripture is inspired by God (God breathed) and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. Continue to read on. In Chapter 4 verse 3 it says, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths. I am all for loving your neighbor and love my many gay friends but loving is very different from condoning.

Biblical inspiration

I would like to point out to the author quoting Timothy that, at the time that passage was written, Timothy was not considered Scripture. Does that mean it was not inspired? Does that mean we should ignore its teachings? What exactly is the author of Timothy referring to when he states "Scripture"? Is it the Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament)?

And, if Timothy, which was not considered Scripture at the time that passage was written, is now considered to be indicative of the Word of God, why are we not able to consider current Biblical scholarship, which has plenty of room for disagreement on whether or not our Scriptures condemn same-sex marriage? Beloved, God *is* still speaking! Are we still listening?

"Homosexuality is clearly

"Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. If you don't want to use Old Testament scripture (and I get the argument, you can't apply some rules then ignore others), then feel free to use New Testament scripture."

That doesn't give us the right to pass judgement. Love the sinner, not the sin.

It is not clearly

The only place the BIble condemns homosexuality is in Leviticus. Any other mentions of homosexuality in the "updated" Bibles available today, especially in the New Testament, are a change in the meaning of the original Aramaic. The original meaning, and translation in Bibles up until this issue became a popular debate, was "sexual sins" - including all kinds of acts tabooed in that day, fornication, sex with someone outside your own ethnicity, and non-traditional sexual acts (oral and manual stimulation). The biggest problem with the BIble is that it is a translation of a translation of a translation - you can't reliably take it as literal truth, even if at one time it was, because the original meaning has been muddied through the generations.

Lastly, even if the Bible did outlaw gay marriage, we live in a free, secular society. To change the legal definition of marriage does not affect religious marriage. That is why you get a marriage license and have a religious ceremony - they are two separate events. To deny someone equal legal status because of a religious belief actually undermines freedom of religion (by giving one religion status over others) and brings religion as an influence into the government. The other entities to do that in the recent past are Iran and the Taliban. Same goal, just a different belief system (and if you read the Q'ran, not as different as people like to believe). Your faith is just that, a faith, and to force others to follow that faith is bigotry and oppression, I don't care how much you talk about love and caring.

To respond to those who will point out the loss of tax exempt status for a NJ piece of land or the issue with Catholic Charities in MA, I will tell you to call the people involved and read the ORIGINAL news reports. I have, (yes, I called Catholic Charities and spoke to them personally and read all the original articles) and the stories have been unbelievably warped - religious institutions will be safe from prosecution if they refuse to perform a gay ceremony, just as no Methodist has ever sued a Catholic priest for refusing to perform their wedding.

even if the Bible did outlaw gay marriage?

Don't you fear God? Are you Satan breed?

Nicole, thank you for showing beauty on the inside/out!!

What a clear and articulate statement. I am proud and glad you are an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ!

Our Churches Should place Love over Prejudice - Jesus' Example

I'm straight, but not narrow! i attend Marble Collegiate Church in NYC (well-kown as the pulpit of Norman Vincent Peale). The GIFTS fellowship there (Gays In Fellowship to Serve) is a wonderful group which has greatly enriched the church community. The Presbyterian-Congregational church we are joining as members here where we live in Saratoga Spring, NY, is also a welcoming congregation, with a number of couples who are not only committed to each other, but also to Christ's example of selfless living. Several are terrific parents,as well. The interpretation of the Biblical passages must be read in the context of the culture of the day.

Re: The Bible -- OR God still speaking

Isn't it a good thing that the Bible is here since God obviously isn't and subcontracted out? Oh wow! You say that God is still speaking? What if the Bible has not replaced God but that God continues to dialogue with God's people? The worship some people give to the Bible rather than God is idolatry, isn't it? The bible, in the New Testament, condones slavery. Should we formalize slavery again rather than just relying on the underpaid and illegal workers who clean our rooms, serve us food, and do jobs others don't want? That way we could just pay them even less and keep more for ourselves. Oh, but wait. Our chief executive is African American. It is too late! (for the record, I voted for him!)

Thank You

It's refreshing and reassuring to hear such words from a Christian.

Bad Miss Cali!

I don't think it's anybodys business what goes on behind closed doors when it involves two people that love eachother!! I think that gay/lesbian/straight, whoever you fall in love with is a beautifully wonderful thing that should be celebrated, not judged! Who do these people think they are? Ask yourself: Why the heck do you care?? Does it effect you personally?? NO! So drop it already...

I thought God created all things

All of God's creations are beautiful and perfect in their own way. God does not make mistakes.

If God didn't create homosexuals, there wouldn't be any.

You hit the nail on the

You hit the nail on the head. God (Allah, Buddah, or whatever name you choose to call him or her) created each and every one of us in his own image. We each are each, as individuals, assigned a place and purpose on this planet. As some others have expressed, the Bible has been translated many times, and who knows how many of those translations have been used to qualify the rulers and governments of the time. We should focus our attentions and aggressions on important issues like world hunger, war, global warming, etc. that affect all of us, and attempt to make the world a better place in which to live and prosper. It is not our place to judge others, but to love, respect, and accept each other as our brothers and sisters. Help us, Dear God, to love and forgive those who have judged us and condemned us.

Thank You!

Nicole thank you for being an ally and for being willing to speak truth to error. God bless you as you testify to God's all inclusive love.

Courageous Love and Prophetic Witness

Thank you, Pastor Lamarche for your strong and Godly witness.
It is so touching, powerful, and humbling to see our leaders speaking God's truth in love. I am so happy that the discourse that our nation and the communities of faith around the world have been sharing in can have a voice like yours. It is so important that we never lose sight of carrying our own and each others' crosses in fearless (faithful) commitment in establishing God's Kindom. Love never fails.

New Thread- Nicole as Beauty Queen

I'd like to move off the gay marriage thread for a bit, and note the bizarre local controversy that simply surrounded Nicole being a former beauty queen. It was picked up by the local Boston media after 4 members of her church resigned in protest about a former beauty queen being their minister. There was one rather bizarre backhanded defense of her that was 'praising with faint damnation'. In a March 2009 article by Forrest W. Kobayashi which part of reads "There are many things that she could have participated in that could have been much worse than entering a beauty competition. That being said, it is still a great step of faith for her to change her lifestyle and put her religious beliefs at the forefront." In spite of a disclaimer earlier in the article, he now sounds as if there was something slightly sleazy about her being in the pageant, but God has renewed her. I found this tone to be condescending.
When I entered PSR, I knew graduates would encounter controversy for their support for gay rights and other progressive causes related to peace and justice issues, but it never even crossed my mind that Nicole's winning the Miss California title would per se be a cause for concern. I shows a lot about the anxieties and broader parochialism of a lot of society.
Sorry to go off an a non-Prop-8 related rant here, but I needed to get this off my chest.

Minister @ beauty queen

"In a March 2009 article by Forrest W. Kobayashi ...he now sounds as if 'there was something slightly sleazy about her being in the pageant, but God has renewed her.' - I found this tone to be condescending ... I knew PSR graduates would encounter controversy ... but it never even crossed my mind that Nicole's winning the Miss CA title would be a cause for concern. It shows a lot about the anxieties and broader parochialism of a lot of society."

It's more about a media writer exposing some of the real reasons and sources for the continuing popularity of "beauty pageants" -- the guilty pleasures of the audience, cleaned-up for public viewing and paraded for "admiration" and commercial moneymaking; there is plenty of fodder there for corporate and media exploitation of the 'hooker with a heart of gold' stereotype. I am not suggesting there is anything questionable about participants or their supporting organizations; rather, I'm suggesting that the human and commercial reasons for public pageants continuing to exist would come from not so admirable interests; so when anything does go wrong with a pageant, this sublimated "seamy side" of human nature is instantly exposed to sunlight and further attacked. There's additionally the Victorian and historical class prejudices in our culture, against anyone with "theatrical" backgrounds. Of course there is going to be a backlash against any 'pretty woman on a pedestal' who contributes to a media issue over a pageant -- because she is proving she's not a blank "good girl" and therefore is risking proving that she's secretly a "bad girl," or even "smart and professional" which crosses too many tribal categories -- and it collides too hard with that guilty pleasure stereotype. It doesn't really matter what the issue, media flurry, or comment is from a pageant -- it's really more about further pushing and exploiting the audience's gender and social prejudices. There's yet more money to break forth in them thar hills.

Pastor Nicole's professional choices would hardly have raised notice if she had accepted a church call in CA or in NYC, but by accepting the challenges of society in New England, she could hardly avoid a media flurry, much less avoid continuing to be caught up in them. "Condescending" doesn't even begin to scratch the social surface. My real admiration for Pastor Nicole is that she chose ministry in one of the most difficult settings for local prejudices against her background, and she has continued to remain a genuine human being of integrity who successfully witnesses to connecting with Holy Spirit. But that's all boring stuff. There's still money to be made from the next flash-and-dash gossip headlines...

God's Word

Reverend Culver Nelson once said something I will never forget: "To what extent is The Bible man's word and to what extent is Nature God's word?"

If you believe that Jesus spoke God's truth, then love God and love each other.

Same-Sex Marraige

I applaud Nicole for having the courage to speak her convictions in support of same-sex marraige across this country. I appreciated her taking a stand against bigotry and hate. It is past time for the right wing in this country to continue to use the Bible to abuse and mistreat people. Jesus would not want it this way and nor is God happy with God's children.

Prejean Said NOTHING About God or The Bible In Her Answer

The author of this article is wrong about something. He said in the opening paragraph:

"...[Prejean] said that her belief, backed up by her faith, was that “a marriage should be between a man and a woman.”

The "backed up by her faith" part is TOTALLY INCORRECT. Prejean said very clearly she held to such a view because, "THAT'S THE WAY I WAS RAISED"--not because of her religious beliefs. Well, determining right and wrong merely from the way one is "raised" is not an activity based on any established biblical doctrine or Christian principle.

So then, Ms. Prejean in her response did not say anything that really identified her as a Christian or as one standing on a unique biblical principle. This is something that the public--particularly the Christian community at-large--seems to have overlooked.

ohh ok. So we should let

ohh ok. So we should let murderers and child abusers live the life they want because we have to love people, right? Why use Jesus' 'love your neighbor as yourself' principle and not use the rest of the Bible?

Gay marriage

I used to be a Christian fundamentalist who thought the Bible was words from God. When you study the Bible using the higher criticisms you realize that it's impossible to hold that view. Those who believe that the Bible is written by God, are locked into an authoritarian militant politics that is impossible to penetrate. The first step in getting them to budge on gay marriage is to break the intellectual blockade created by their views on the Bible. Until then, they simply do not have a mind of their own. I was there once.

Grow up People

All People have thir own opinion and i think they all have a right to ,i mean do you like having a opinion well i do and i think that she can think whatever she wants personly i want a gay best friend but thats me
