Mission Bay Community Church

Mission Bay Community Church of San Francisco (MBCC) is an emerging worship community committed to social justice, mission, outreach and proclaiming Christ’s love for all. We are a diverse congregation in terms of religious background, cultural expressions, ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender identity. We are made up of mostly young professionals (20-40 yr olds), but growing intergenerationally.

We worship in the city of San Francisco on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM. Following worship each Sunday we have dinner together. On Saturdays, we organize the Excelsior Community Food Pantry in which we provide fresh groceries to over 300 families in need. We celebrate communion every Sunday and understand worship and dinner fellowship to feed us so that we can turn outwards and feed God’s people.

We are active in our community, participating in night ministry walks, immigration court, PRIDE parade, AIDS walk, interfaith shelter walk, bike to worship, and more.

We seek to be creative and innovative in our ministry, particular in our worship and outreach. This last year we launched a new website and app in order to faciliate that spiritual connections of our members and those outside our context curious about Christ’s love for them. We are contstantly trying new things.
