Student Assistant
• Function as primary event planner for Ministry as Vocation (MAV) conferences, Earl Lectures, and other recruitment events throughout the year under the direction of the recruitment and admissions staff
• Coordinate Student Ambassador program – assist with Ambassador recruitment, training, and scheduling
• Make arrangements for campus visits including hospitality, appointments and other events; including coordination of visits for prospective MA students with GTU Admissions staff; provide tours for visiting students
• Prepare and send electronic newsletters, event announcements, and other periodic communication to prospective students and other constituents
• Prepare and mail display and recruitment and admissions materials for conferences and other events
• Assist with general reception functions for the office, including email and phone correspondence with prospective students
• Assist with general office procedures and admissions process
• Maintain and stock cabinet of recruitment and admissions materials
• Distribute catalogs, applications, and other recruitment and admissions materials to prospective students and/or institutions as requested
• Assist with assembling and maintaining all applicant files as needed
• Additional administrative assignments as time permits
• Maintain confidentiality of all information received and shared in the office
- Proficiency with computer programs, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power
- Point, an organized with strong attention to detail
- Dependable; able to balance work and school responsibilities
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of PSR programs
- Adaptable and flexible work style
- Strong verbal communi Ability to create hospitable and friendly environment to all constituents
- Ability to lift and carry files and printed material up to 5 lbs.
