Job Description: 

Assist Director of Community & Continuing Education with administrative management of all departmental projects, including Earl Lectures, Summer Session, continuing education, online education, community education and more. Will include basic office support (copying, ordering supplies, filing, submitting invoices & reimbursements, contract preparation, etc.), marketing, communicating with vendors and instructors, creating flyers, updating the web site, and longer term projects as they arise.

During the month of January of odd years (2013, 2015, etc.), it is desirable that the Program Assistant work additional hours leading up to and including Earl Lectures (last week of January).

• Prior office experience
• Well organized
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent technical skills and/or enthusiasm to learn.
• Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic knowledge of HTML


Hours per week: 12-15
Date job is to begin: August 25, 2014 (flexible)
Hourly rate: $10
Period of employment: ongoing. May continue through summer, if desired.
Preferred workdays: during regular business hours, M-F 9-5
