Profile:
Dr. Horace Griffin came to PSR from General Theological Seminary in New York City, where he served as director of field education and adjunct professor of pastoral theology from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Griffin is the author of Their Own Receive Them Not: African American Lesbians and Gays in Black Churches (Pilgrim Press, 2006). His book, which won the Lambda Literary Award for LGBT studies, provides a historical overview and critical analysis of the black church and its current engagement with lesbian and gay Christians.
