Edward Sylvia

Edward Sylvia came to PSR after having served as a lay minister at a Swedenborgian Church in St. Louis. At PSR, he earned a Master of Theological Studies degree and received a Swedenborgian Certificate of Studies. He is currently a member of the Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences (CTNS) in Berkeley and the Swedenborg Scientific Association (SSA) in Bryn Athyn, PA. In addition, he was recently elected president of the St. Louis Publishers Association.
“PSR helped me gain valuable new insights from a variety of serious thinkers with different points of views,” Edward says about his MTS experience. “PSR also helped me to make new contacts with those in areas of expertise that are different from my own but who share similar interests to mine.”
Sylvia is pursuing his vocation as a writer, and is currently at work on a book on the unification of science and theology using the ideas of Emanuel Swedenborg. Edward believes that PSR helped him gain greater certainty as an author on theological topics, and he hopes eventually to gather his ideas and research into a documentary film.
