Community Association of PSR (CAPSR)
The Community Association of PSR (CAPSR) is made up of the whole PSR student community. All students registered in PSR programs and their partners and families are CAPSR members. The Association's activities, events, and programs are supported by CAPSR Council.
CAPSR Council
CAPSR Council’s mission is to serve as the organizing and facilitating body within the PSR community by: • providing a continuing connection between CAPSR and other PSR constituencies; • empowering students to take action in community building and problem solving; • advocating for cooperative solutions to members’ questions, suggestions, and concerns; • encouraging learning and enrichment outside the classroom. CAPSR Council meets twice a month and oversees the activities and concerns of CAPSR. Meetings are open to the community. The Council also assists in the selection of students to represent CAPSR on the school's faculty, trustee, and other administrative committees, and provides a student voice in campus issues and policy decisions.
Logos
Logos is the official newsletter of the PSR community and is published 4 times each semester. PSR community members—students, staff, faculty, and their family members—are invited to submit items for inclusion in Logos. CAPSR Council oversees the publication and distribution of Logos.
Student Scholarships
Each year CAPSR allocates a certain portion of CAPSR fees for student scholarships. These scholarships help students attend conferences and denominational meetings or participate in extra curricular activities that relate to their vocational goals. Students who receive funds are encouraged to provide information, enrichment, and new perspectives to the PSR community based on the learning they gained through the use of their scholarship. Scholarship guidelines and forms are available on the table next to the PSR reception desk or through the links below, which are downloadable PDFs.
Student Group Event/Activity Grants
Each year CAPSR allocates a certain portion of CAPSR fees for student group grants. These grants are available for student groups when they are planning an event or activity. Only recognized student groups or organizations are elegable for these grants. Refer to the Student Group Grant Request for details and grant limits, through the link below, which is a downloadable PDF
